LG TV Repair in Banashankari
LG sells both LED-backlit and OLED televisions, and the repair economics of the two are so different that identifying which one you own is the first thing we do.
Banashankari is a quieter, established south Bengaluru residential area along Kanakapura Road, with a mix of independent houses and mid-rise apartments. Visits here tend to be straightforward, with less traffic-related delay than the IT-corridor areas.
W2 is an independent appliance repair company. We are not an authorised LG service centre and have no affiliation with LG Electronics India Pvt. Ltd.. If your tv is still under manufacturer warranty, contact LG directly first — that service is free to you. We are the option once the warranty has run out, or when you want a second opinion or a faster visit.

LED or OLED — the difference decides whether we can help
LG is the only major brand where two fundamentally different display technologies sit side by side in the showroom, and confusing them leads people to spend money badly. An LED or NanoCell LG is a liquid-crystal panel lit from behind by LED strips. An OLED LG has no backlight at all — every pixel makes its own light. That difference determines what is fixable.
On LED and NanoCell sets the news is usually good. The most common serious fault is backlight failure: the screen goes black while the sound continues, and a torch shone across the screen in a dim room reveals a faint picture underneath. The panel is intact; the strips behind it have failed. That is a strip-down and a strip replacement — real work, a real fix, and a set that goes back to normal afterwards. Uneven brightness, dark corners or a band across the screen are partial versions of the same fault and equally repairable.
On OLED sets the news is more mixed, and we would rather be straight about it. If the fault is a board — no power, no sound, dead HDMI ports, a webOS boot loop — it is repairable, and OLED sets are worth repairing at board level because they are expensive televisions. But if the fault is in the panel, it is finished. The two OLED panel failures we see are permanent image retention, where a static channel logo, news ticker or game HUD has burned itself into the organic pixels, and vertical banding as pixels age unevenly. Neither can be repaired, reversed or refreshed by any service. The built-in pixel-refresh cycle helps prevent retention; it does not remove it once it is established. Anyone who offers to fix OLED burn-in is taking your money.
The board faults are the same across both. A set that clicks and will not start is usually the power supply board, and frequently just its electrolytic capacitors — an inexpensive, reliable repair. An inverted, negative or scrambled image points at the T-CON. A set stuck on the LG logo is a firmware problem, and webOS can often be recovered without any hardware being replaced, which is worth trying before anyone opens the chassis.
One practical note for Bengaluru. Power supply boards fail early where mains voltage swings, and in older parts of the city we see enough of it that a surge protector on a large television is cheap insurance against the most common repairable fault on the list.
How the visit works
You call or WhatsApp, we confirm a slot, and a technician reaches you in Banashankari — usually the same day for bookings before 4 PM. The diagnosis is free. You get a written quote before any work starts, and nothing is opened up or replaced until you have approved it. Repairs carry a 90-day warranty on the same fault; replaced parts carry the manufacturer's or supplier's own warranty.
Questions from Banashankari customers
Do you cover both Banashankari stages (1st to 6th Stage)?
Yes, all Banashankari stages. Let us know your stage and nearest cross-road when booking.
Is W2 an authorised LG service centre?
No. We are an independent multi-brand service centre with no affiliation to or appointment from LG Electronics India. If your set is in warranty, use LG's own channel — opening it outside their network generally voids the cover, and on an OLED that matters a great deal.
Can you fix burn-in on my LG OLED?
No, and nor can anyone else. Permanent image retention is physical wear of the organic pixels where a static logo or ticker has been displayed for long periods. The built-in pixel refresh reduces the risk beforehand but cannot undo it afterwards. We will not take money to attempt it. Board-level faults on OLED sets are a different matter and are repairable.
Sound works but the screen is black on my LG LED.
That is most likely backlight failure and it is a good outcome. In a dim room, shine a torch across the screen at a steep angle — if a faint picture is visible, the panel is fine and the LED strips behind it have failed. Replacing the strips restores the set fully.
My LG is stuck on the logo and will not start.
That is usually a webOS firmware problem rather than a hardware failure, and it can often be recovered without replacing anything. It is worth attempting before any board is quoted. If recovery fails repeatedly, the mainboard's storage may have degraded, which is a board-level repair.
Is a NanoCell TV an OLED?
No. NanoCell is an LED-backlit LCD with a colour-purifying layer, so it has a replaceable backlight and no burn-in risk. Only the B, C and G series are OLED. It is a useful thing to know before buying as well as before repairing, because the repair economics differ sharply.
Is W2 an authorised LG service centre in Banashankari?
No. W2 is an independent appliance repair company and is not authorised by LG Electronics India Pvt. Ltd.. If your tv is still under manufacturer warranty, use the brand's own service channel first — you will not be charged. We are the option for out-of-warranty machines, second opinions, and faster turnaround.
