Aquaguard RO Water Purifier Repair in Banashankari

Aquaguard has been in Indian kitchens longer than almost any other purifier brand, which means the installed base ranges from modern RO systems to twenty-year-old UV-only units that work quite differently.

Banashankari is a quieter, established south Bengaluru residential area along Kanakapura Road, with a mix of independent houses and mid-rise apartments. Visits here tend to be straightforward, with less traffic-related delay than the IT-corridor areas.

W2 is an independent appliance repair company. We are not an authorised Aquaguard service centre and have no affiliation with Eureka Forbes Ltd.. If your ro water purifier is still under manufacturer warranty, contact Aquaguard directly first — that service is free to you. We are the option once the warranty has run out, or when you want a second opinion or a faster visit.

UV or RO — knowing which you own changes everything

Aquaguard has sold purifiers in India for decades, and that history means "my Aquaguard needs servicing" can mean two completely different machines. A great many older units — the classic wall-mounted box above the kitchen sink — are UV-only. Newer ones are RO or RO+UV. They solve different problems and they fail in different ways, so establishing which you have is the first thing a technician should do.

A UV-only purifier does not reduce TDS at all. It kills microorganisms with ultraviolet light and does nothing to dissolved salts, hardness or heavy metals. On Cauvery-supplied municipal water in Bengaluru that is often perfectly adequate. On hard borewell supply it is not — the water comes out microbiologically safe and still tastes of what is dissolved in it, and no amount of servicing a UV unit will change that. If your area has switched to borewell supply since the unit was installed, the honest answer may be that you need a different machine rather than a repair, and we would rather tell you that than keep servicing something unsuited to your water.

On RO models the fault list is the familiar one. Pre-filters are consumables that exist to protect the membrane; skipping them shortens the life of the expensive part. The membrane itself goes when output TDS climbs relative to input — and it is the ratio that matters, not the output figure on its own. The booster pump and the SMPS adapter are the two electrical failures we see most, presenting as no water production. Solenoid and float valve faults cause continuous running or overflow.

The UV lamp deserves its own warning on either type. Lamps continue to emit visible light well after their germicidal output has fallen below effective levels. A lamp that is glowing is not a lamp that is working. They have a defined service life and should be replaced on that basis rather than on whether they light up.

A note on service calls. Eureka Forbes runs a large direct service network and an active contract business, and if you hold a valid Aquaguard contract you should use it — you have already paid. We are worth calling when you do not, when a contract has lapsed, or when you want an independent opinion on whether a recommended replacement is genuinely necessary. We do not sell contracts and we have nothing to gain from telling you a part is due when it is not.

How the visit works

You call or WhatsApp, we confirm a slot, and a technician reaches you in Banashankari — usually the same day for bookings before 4 PM. The diagnosis is free. You get a written quote before any work starts, and nothing is opened up or replaced until you have approved it. Repairs carry a 90-day warranty on the same fault; replaced parts carry the manufacturer's or supplier's own warranty.

Questions from Banashankari customers

Do you cover both Banashankari stages (1st to 6th Stage)?

Yes, all Banashankari stages. Let us know your stage and nearest cross-road when booking.

Is W2 an authorised Aquaguard service centre?

No. We are an independent multi-brand service centre with no affiliation to or appointment from Eureka Forbes. If you hold a valid Aquaguard warranty or service contract, use it — you have already paid for that service. We are useful when the contract has lapsed or when you want an independent second opinion.

How do I know whether mine is a UV or an RO unit?

RO models have a separate storage tank and a drain line that discharges reject water; UV-only units have neither and purify inline as you draw water. If there is no waste-water pipe running to the sink, it is almost certainly UV-only. The distinction matters because a UV unit does not reduce TDS at all.

My old Aquaguard water still tastes hard. Can you fix that?

If it is a UV-only unit, no — and that is worth knowing rather than paying to find out. UV disinfects but does nothing to dissolved hardness or salts. If your locality has shifted from Cauvery to borewell supply since it was installed, the machine is no longer matched to your water and the honest answer is a different purifier, not a service.

There is no water coming out at all.

On an RO unit the usual suspects are the SMPS adapter and the booster pump, followed by a jammed float valve or a completely blocked sediment pre-filter. The cheaper causes are checked first. On a UV unit, no flow points at the inlet valve or a blocked cartridge instead.

Is a service contract worth it?

Sometimes, but read what is excluded — many plans leave out the RO membrane, which is the costly component, so the contract covers the cheap parts and not the expensive one. We do not sell contracts. We will tell you which components are actually due on your machine and what they cost, and you can compare from there.

Is W2 an authorised Aquaguard service centre in Banashankari?

No. W2 is an independent appliance repair company and is not authorised by Eureka Forbes Ltd.. If your ro water purifier is still under manufacturer warranty, use the brand's own service channel first — you will not be charged. We are the option for out-of-warranty machines, second opinions, and faster turnaround.
