Microwave Turntable Repair in Bangalore
A turntable that has stopped turning is one of the least serious microwave faults and one of the most worth fixing, because uneven heating is the direct result.

Why the plate stopped turning, and why it matters more than it seems
A microwave does not heat evenly. The energy inside the cavity forms a standing wave pattern with hotter and cooler regions, and the turntable exists specifically to move the food through that pattern so it heats consistently. When it stops rotating, you get exactly the symptom people complain about -- a dish scalding at the edge and cold in the middle. So this is worth fixing even though the appliance still 'works'.
Check the simple things first. The glass plate has to seat properly onto the drive coupler at the centre. If it has been put back off-centre, or if the roller ring underneath is missing or in backwards, the plate will sit wrong and either not turn or turn erratically. Food debris and hardened spills under the roller ring will also stop it. All of this is free to fix and worth checking before booking anyone.
The roller ring. The plastic ring with small wheels that the plate sits on. The wheels wear, crack or fall off, and the ring itself can warp with heat. It is an inexpensive part and a common replacement.
The drive coupler. The plastic piece at the centre of the cavity floor that engages the plate. Its splines strip over time, particularly if the plate has been forced or the microwave has been used with heavy dishes. When stripped, the motor turns underneath while the plate sits still -- which is a useful diagnostic distinction, because you can often hear the motor running.
The turntable motor. A small, slow synchronous motor beneath the cavity floor. It fails from age or from moisture ingress if liquid has found its way down through the coupler. When it goes, there is silence rather than a running motor. It is an inexpensive part and a straightforward replacement.
Rarely, the control board. Some microwaves switch the turntable motor from the board, so a board fault can stop it. This is uncommon and should be the last thing considered.
If the microwave is otherwise heating well, this is a repair genuinely worth doing rather than a reason to replace the appliance.

Microwave Turntable Repair in Bangalore — frequently asked questions.
Does it matter if the turntable doesn't rotate?
Yes, more than it seems. The energy inside a microwave forms hot and cold regions, and the turntable moves food through them so it heats evenly. Without rotation you get dishes that are scalding at the edge and cold in the middle.
What should I check before calling someone?
That the glass plate is seated properly on the centre coupler, that the roller ring underneath is present and the right way up, and that no food debris or hardened spills are jamming it. All three are free to fix and are common causes.
I can hear a motor running but the plate doesn't move. What's wrong?
That points to a stripped drive coupler -- the plastic piece at the centre of the cavity floor whose splines have worn away. The motor turns underneath but no longer engages the plate. It is an inexpensive part to replace.
Is a turntable motor expensive to replace?
No, it is one of the cheaper parts in a microwave and replacement is straightforward. If the appliance is otherwise heating well, this is a repair well worth doing rather than a reason to replace the unit.
Can liquid spills damage the turntable motor?
They can. Liquid that finds its way down through the centre coupler reaches the motor beneath the cavity floor and causes it to fail. Wiping spills promptly and not overfilling dishes genuinely helps prevent it.
