Kitchen Chimney Deep Cleaning in Bangalore
A chimney that has lost its suction has almost never broken -- it is choked with cooking grease, and Indian kitchens produce more of it than these appliances are designed around.

Why chimneys lose suction, and what a real deep clean covers
Almost every 'my chimney has stopped working' call turns out to be a cleaning problem rather than a fault. Indian cooking -- tempering, deep frying, high-heat tadka -- produces far more airborne oil than the European kitchens these appliances were originally designed for, and that oil condenses on every internal surface the air passes over.
The filters are only the first stage. Most people clean the baffle filters, because they are visible and removable, and then wonder why suction has not returned. The filters are designed to catch grease, but a great deal gets past them over time and coats everything downstream.
The blower wheel is where it really matters. This is the centrifugal fan that actually moves the air. Its blades are small, closely spaced and curved, and when they accumulate a layer of congealed grease the wheel's aerodynamics are destroyed -- it turns at the same speed while moving a fraction of the air. A caked blower wheel is the single biggest cause of lost suction, and cleaning it properly is what separates a deep clean from a filter wash. It also unbalances the wheel, which is why a dirty chimney often gets noisier before it gets weaker.
The canopy and duct entry. Grease collects on the inside of the hood and around the duct opening, gradually narrowing the airway.
The oil collector cup. Simple, and routinely overlooked until it overflows onto the hob.
What a proper deep clean involves. Removing and degreasing the filters, opening the canopy to access and clean the blower wheel and motor housing, cleaning the internal surfaces and duct entry, emptying and washing the oil collector, and checking the non-return damper still moves freely. Suction should be noticeably restored afterwards -- if it is not, then there genuinely is a fault.
How often. For a household cooking Indian food daily, filters every few weeks and a full deep clean every six months is realistic. Every twelve months is the absolute minimum, and units left longer than that often need the blower wheel soaked rather than simply wiped.
Why it matters beyond suction. Accumulated grease inside a chimney directly above a gas hob is a genuine fire risk.

Kitchen Chimney Deep Cleaning in Bangalore — frequently asked questions.
My chimney has stopped sucking. Is it broken?
Usually not. The overwhelming majority of lost-suction complaints are caused by grease buildup rather than a fault, and the blower wheel -- not the filters -- is normally the culprit. A proper deep clean restores it.
I clean the filters regularly. Why is suction still poor?
Because the filters are only the first stage. Grease gets past them and cakes the blower wheel, whose curved blades stop moving air effectively once coated. Cleaning that wheel is what separates a deep clean from a filter wash.
How often should a kitchen chimney be deep cleaned?
For a household cooking Indian food daily, filters every few weeks and a full deep clean every six months is realistic. Twelve months is the absolute minimum, and units left longer usually need the blower wheel soaked rather than wiped.
Is a greasy chimney a fire risk?
Yes, genuinely. Accumulated cooking grease inside a chimney sitting directly above a gas hob is flammable, which is a real reason to keep to a cleaning schedule beyond just maintaining suction.
My chimney got noisier before it got weaker. Why?
Grease accumulating unevenly on the blower wheel unbalances it, which produces vibration and noise. That noise is usually the earliest warning that a deep clean is overdue, ahead of any noticeable drop in suction.
90-day service warranty, on every job.
If the exact same fault returns within 90 days of the visit, we fix it again at no charge — written on your digital bill, not just promised verbally. Replaced parts also carry the supplier's own part warranty on top.
