A map of TV faults, cheapest to most expensive
Televisions fail in a fairly small number of ways, and they sort neatly by cost. Knowing roughly where your symptom sits saves a lot of anxiety before anyone visits.
Software faults -- usually free to fix. Slow menus, crashing apps, WiFi dropping, boot loops after an update. No parts involved. These are often resolved on the visit itself.
Settings and connection faults -- also free. No sound because audio output is routed to a device that is not there. No picture from one source because of a cable or an input. Worth ruling out before booking anything.
Capacitors and power supply -- inexpensive. A TV that will not switch on, or switches off by itself, is usually a power board. These are frequently repairable at component level, and dried-out capacitors are the classic cause.
Backlight -- moderate. Sound but no picture, or a very dim image visible only in a dark room. The LED strips behind the panel have failed. Parts are not expensive; the work requires care in opening the panel assembly. This is the most common significant TV repair and it is generally well worth doing.
Mainboard and T-Con -- moderate to significant. Distorted images, lines, colour problems, HDMI ports that stopped working. Board-level repair is sometimes possible; otherwise a replacement board.
Panel -- almost never economic. Physical cracks, spreading dead pixel areas, failed row drivers. A replacement panel typically costs more than a comparable new set. This is the point at which we will advise you to replace rather than repair.
What actually kills TVs in Bengaluru. Two things stand out. Mains instability damages power boards, which is a strong argument for a stabiliser on a set you care about. And heat -- televisions recessed into tight furniture units or mounted flat against a wall with no air gap run hotter than designed, which shortens capacitor and backlight life measurably. Leaving a few centimetres of clearance genuinely extends a TV's life.

LED & LCD TV Repair in Bangalore — frequently asked questions.
Which TV faults are worth repairing?
Software, power supply, backlight, audio and board-level faults are generally all worth repairing. The one exception is the panel itself, which typically costs more than a comparable new television and is rarely economic.
Do you repair all TV brands?
We service the major brands including Sony, Samsung, LG, Mi, OnePlus, TCL and Panasonic. We are an independent service centre rather than a brand-authorised one, which means we work on sets regardless of warranty status or age.
How long does a typical TV repair take?
Software and settings faults are usually resolved during the visit. Capacitor and power board repairs are often same-visit too. Backlight work and board replacements depend on part availability and may need a second visit.
Does a wall-mounted TV overheat?
It can if mounted flat against the wall or recessed into a tight furniture unit with no airflow. Running hotter than designed shortens capacitor and backlight life measurably, so leaving a few centimetres of clearance is worthwhile.
Is a stabiliser worth it for a television?
On a set you value, yes. Mains instability is one of the two main causes of TV power board failure in Bengaluru, and protection costs a small fraction of a board repair -- particularly if you have already lost one board to a surge.
90-day service warranty, on every job.
If the exact same fault returns within 90 days of the visit, we fix it again at no charge — written on your digital bill, not just promised verbally. Replaced parts also carry the supplier's own part warranty on top.
