Where the water is coming from, and why it is usually cheap to fix
A fridge produces water constantly. Every defrost cycle melts frost off the evaporator, and that meltwater is supposed to run down a channel, through a drain tube, into a tray above the compressor where the compressor's heat evaporates it away. When water shows up anywhere else, it has escaped that path. The good news is that these are almost all inexpensive faults.
A blocked defrost drain. This is the leading cause by a wide margin. The drain hole at the back of the fridge compartment, and the tube it feeds, gradually clog with food debris, mould and ice. Blocked, the meltwater backs up and either pools under the salad crisper or runs out of the door. Clearing and flushing the drain resolves it completely and requires no parts.
A perished or dirty door gasket. If the seal is not sealing, warm humid Bengaluru air is drawn in continuously and condenses on the cold surfaces inside. The result is water inside the cabinet and heavy frost buildup, alongside a fridge that runs far more than it should. Test it by shutting the door on a sheet of paper -- if it pulls out without resistance at any point along the seal, the gasket is not doing its job. Many gaskets just need cleaning; perished ones need replacing.
The fridge is not level. Fridges are meant to sit very slightly tilted back so the door swings closed and internal drainage runs the right way. On uneven flooring a fridge tilted forward will not drain properly and its door may not seal fully. It is an adjustment, not a repair.
A cracked or dislodged drip tray. The tray above the compressor can crack with age or get knocked out of position when a fridge is moved for cleaning, and then the meltwater it should be holding goes straight onto the floor.
Water dispenser lines. On models with a dispenser or ice maker, the inlet line and its connections are an additional leak source, and this one can produce a lot more water than a blocked drain.
If water is appearing only after a power cut, it is likely just the freezer having partially thawed and refrozen, which is normal.

Fridge Water Leakage Repair in Bangalore — frequently asked questions.
Why is water collecting under the vegetable tray?
That is the signature of a blocked defrost drain. Meltwater that should run out through the drain hole at the back of the compartment backs up and pools in the lowest point instead. Clearing the drain fixes it with no parts needed.
There is water on the floor under my fridge. What causes that?
Usually an overflowing or cracked drip tray above the compressor, or a defrost drain so blocked that water is escaping at the door instead. On models with a water dispenser, the inlet line connection is another possibility.
How do I test the door seal?
Close the door on a sheet of paper and pull it out. If it slides out with no resistance, the seal is not gripping at that point. Repeat it at several points around the door -- gaskets often fail in one section rather than uniformly.
Can I clear the defrost drain myself?
Sometimes. The drain hole at the rear of the fridge compartment can often be flushed with warm water. If it is blocked with ice further down the tube, it needs proper clearing, and forcing anything rigid into it risks damaging the tube.
Is a leaking fridge urgent?
Not usually dangerous, but worth fixing promptly. Persistent water encourages mould, damages flooring, and if the cause is a failed door seal the fridge is also running much harder and using considerably more electricity than it should.
90-day service warranty, on every job.
If the exact same fault returns within 90 days of the visit, we fix it again at no charge — written on your digital bill, not just promised verbally. Replaced parts also carry the supplier's own part warranty on top.
